10 Years After Leaving The Corporate Rat Race

10 years ago, this day i quit the corporate rat race forever. It was not a decision taken in a huff. It was a carefully planned out strategy and I started working towards it somewhere in 2004 itself.

Corporate Rat Race - FT

Effectively, it’s been a 18 years long walk. And the fun has just begun. A big thanks to all who supported me in this journey and shared their knowledge with me. Bigger thanks to all the naysayers who mocked my decision. Without you, I wouldn’t have the drive to prove myself.

It’s been the most amazing 10 years hence. Living my dream, working for myself. Across time zones, economies and markets. I wake up when I want to. Sleep when I want to. Work when I want to and take a break when I want to.

How Did I Do It?

Discover your passion. Write it down on a big piece of paper and stick it where you can see it daily. Break the huge task into small chunks of yearly, monthly and daily targets. Stick to it religiously.

From a bachelors degree in life sciences, to a 15 yrs long career in IT working in India & Singapore, getting an MBA while working full-time, to fulltime investing in the Indian, US equity markets, and now Cryptos. Life has been a roller coaster.

There is nothing in this world that you can’t do if you set your mind to it and are willing to slog your backsides off. Don’t listen to the whiners who keep making excuses. They are losers for a reason.

Believe me. If I can do it, anyone can.

The fun has only begun.
