@Chittaranjan, yup i experienced it during one of my trips home. Going from Begumpet to Ramanthapur took me more than 1 hour. The traffic was simply horrible.

    Oooooops !!!!!!!!

  7. Chintam says:

OR do we want to get noticed going late. 🙂 as traditionally we like to wait for all those special people instead of carrying on with the function on the right time.

Where is the opposite traffic btw, unless it is one-way street. We should have a picture with 2-way traffic to appreciate the chaos to – i know, we are not stuck in that traffic. Feel sorry for them.

One of the motorways in England, they call it “the biggest car park in Europe” as it gets clogged up like this more often and comes virtually to a stnad-still. Sheer volumes of traffic cause this and some times due to a broken down vehicle or some roadworks.

  8. kipet says:

wow – reminds me on my last trip to beijing!
never possible here in mini-town vienna! 😉

  9. Liju Philip says:

@Chintam, ya its a norm in India that the chief guest should be at least 2-3 hours late for the function. Arriving on or before time is considered a loss of face 😉

@Kipet, such jams are normal in Bangkok (Thailand) too.

  10. Amit says:

It took me 4 hours to reach home yesterday. 😐
The showers yesterday completely blocked everything.
