Nancy Sinatra – Bang Bang (Kill Bill OST)

I absolutely love this song. Watched Kill Bill-2 again over the weekend and this song came into my mind. Still remember, while this song was being played in the credits at the begining of Kill Bill-1, all of us watching the movie in the theatre had a chuckle at the lyrics.

Now i listen and find it to be a really wonderful song. Especially listen to the bass guitar in the background. Whoops.

It is an awesome song. I still see not many people appreciate it…poor souls.

  2. Quirky Indian says:

It is a great song…and totally suited the film.

  3. Jan Derrer says:

You are right, this song is magic. It was recorded live in the studio, on guitar (there’s no bass) you can hear Billy Strange who arranged many Nancy Sinatra songs and played guitar on many hits of the sixties.

  4. Chase says:

“Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” is a song written by Sonny Bono.
In 1966, Cher released it as the second single from the album, “The Sonny Side of Cher.”

In 1967, Nancy Sinatra released her version of the song on her album “How Does That Grab You?” This version remained relatively obscure until it was used in the opening scenes of the 2003 movie Kill Bill Volume 1. This exposure caused Sinatra’s version to be the one chosen by Audio Bullys when, in 2005, they used a sample of the song for their top ten UK hit “Shot You Down”, credited officially to Audio Bullys featuring Nancy Sinatra.

Other artists who recorded this song include Stevie Wonder, Petula Clark, Vanilla Fudge, Terry Reid, Frank Sinatra and Cliff Richard.
